Haidian Office Participates in the “Legal System Publicity and Education Week” Event

In order to make the legal system publicity and education fully exert its role in safeguarding the stability and harmony of the society, promote the reconciliation of social conflicts, the innovation of social administration and a just and clean law enforcement, build up a good legal environment for constructing Zhongguancun Independent Innovation Demonstration Area, and in accordance with the general deployment of Beijing Municipality on carrying out Legal System Publicity Week event, and upon the notice of Legal System Publicity and Education Leading Group Office of Haidian District, Haidian Office participated in the Haidian District Legal System Publicity and Consultation Week event at the south gate of Yuyuantan Park recently. In preparation for the event, the Office determined the contents for publicity according to the requirements of the sponsor, prepared four exhibition boards with contents of basic farmland demarcation and protection, development and protection of mineral resources, responsibilities of land and resources administration, and curbing and fighting against illegal land use respectively, designated relevant personnel to conduct the publicity, and put forward specific requirements for them. During the event, land resources related knowledge and land administration by law was publicized via giving lectures and consultations. Consultations on illegal land use and land use dispute were provided to the citizens which has gained excellent effects. Some people said, "It's really necessary to hold such event for the people to get to know more about the national policies, and administrative and legal procedures and measures to solve problems concerning land use." Through this publicity event, Haidian Office explained the current situation, the policies and the significance of land administration by law to the citizens, which is of great significance in improving land administration by law, building up a service-function government, popularizing legal knowledge on land use, enhancing people's awareness to act by law, protecting land resources and curbing the illegal land use behaviors. After this, Haidian Office will take active moves to study and practice the proper contents, ways and forms for the legal system publicity, in combination with the requirements of the economic and social development and land administration in Haidian District and in coordination with legal system department, so as to further promote the land administration by law in the District.
